glad I read this thread. I was contemplating buying a newer less mileage motor for my '91 which has about 125k on it. turbo(s) are seized so I figured while the motor was dropped to have the turbos installed, might as well have a younger JDM motor put in. so should I just have a the compression checked, or should I still look into building it up? I would rather not spend the extra $$, but if I'm gonna get this thing around 450-500 hp then I want to be sure the block can handle it and remain reliable. One other thing, someone said it sounds like my Z has a little valve chatter. what might this be an indication of and what are some possible rememedies?
